Walker County Foster & Adoptive Parents Association exists to improve the quality of life of children in foster care. The association also provides training for foster families in Walker County, Georgia and support through a vast network of current and former foster parents. Adoptive families in Walker County are also welcome to join our group for support. WCFAAPA meets the first Thursday of every month at 6pm at Walker County DFCS office on Highway 27 in Rock Spring, Georgia. For directions to the meetings, click here. WCFAAPA seeks to ensure that children in foster care have the same kinds of opportunities that children in traditional families have. The association provides various parties for the children throughout the year (Easter, Christmas, etc...). The association also plans at least one outing for the foster children per year.
